Discover Who We Are
The parish of the Kirk of the Holy Rood forms a part of the Forth Valley and Clydesdale Presbytery.
The Kirk of the Holy Rood, as part of the Church of Scotland, serves the parish and community of Grangemouth where we spread the love of God and reach out to the wider world, sharing our faith and our blessings. It is a place where faith is nurtured, supported and strengthened through hearing the word of God and through prayer, praise and Christian fellowship. Our values are Christ's values, we live as God's children, loving our neighbours and showing respect and understanding of all faiths, backgrounds and cultures.
Our Golden Rules
Faith
We believe that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is foundational to the identity and nature of the KHR.
Individuals
Without individuals, there can be no church. People as individuals come first.
Family
We believe that families are the foundation of a strong church and society.
Empowerment
We believe in empowering the marginalised, the oppressed, hurting, powerless and also the people of God for the work of ministry.
Service
We believe in making a positive difference to those around us. So, we share our gifts and talents locally, nationally and internationally.
What we are called to be.
God has called us to be a vibrant and welcoming intergenerational community, where individuals are transformed by the good news of Jesus Christ.
What we do.
KHR is a place where faith in Christ is formed and nurtured, where individuals are developed, empowered and inspired to use their gifts and talents in serving God and the community.
