Holy Communion
Change of Date
Please note that our March Holy Communion service will be held on Sunday 8th of March, 2026 not the usual first Sunday of the month.
You are warmly invited to join us at the Kirk of the Holy Rood for our Communion Service this Sunday at 11:00 am.
This will be a special service as we gather around the Lord’s Table and also welcome new members into the life of the church. Communion is a time to remember Jesus, to give thanks for His love, and to draw close to God and one another.
During the service we will sing:
Alleluia, Sing to Jesus (CH4 445)
As the Deer Pants for the Water (CH4 550)
Gather Around, for the Table is Spread (CHON 158)
Great Is Thy Faithfulness (CH4 153)
Our Bible reading will be from John 6:51–58, and the sermon is titled “Let’s Plug In.”
If you have never been to a Communion Service before, please do not feel anxious. The service will be simple and clearly guided. All who love the Lord Jesus, or who are seeking Him, are welcome at His table.
Come and join us for worship, fellowship, and a time of peace in God’s presence.
