Sunday Worship – 11 October 2026

Who is my neighbour?

This Sunday at 11:00am, we gather for worship at Kirk of the Holy Rood, Grangemouth, as we explore one of Jesus' most challenging questions: “Who is my neighbour?”

In Luke 10:25–37, Jesus tells the story of the Good Samaritan. It is a familiar story, but perhaps we have become so familiar with it that we have forgotten how provocative it really is.

Jesus challenges us to look beyond our usual boundaries and to notice the people we might otherwise walk past.

Our worship will include:

Love Divine, All Loves Excelling
Make Me a Channel of Your Peace
Spirit of God, Unseen as the Wind
One More Step Along the World I Go

We will reflect on what it means to be a neighbour in our homes, our church, our community and our world.

And perhaps the question Jesus leaves us with is not simply: “Who is my neighbour?” but: “Am I being a neighbour?” Because neighbourliness is not about who they are. It is about who you are becoming.

Everyone is welcome. Come and worship with us.
